Uber Global DNS changes

As part of on going review of customer facing services we have identified pieces of legacy infrastructure that are impacting our customers. These services are attached to the Uber Global DNS services are primarily affect our customers with whitelabeled DNS domains. We are going to be making three changes to our DNS infrastructure on the 30th of August 2016. 1. Customers with domains delegated to our DMS nameservers (ns1, ns2, ns3, ns4, ns5.name-services.com.au). We are updating the IP address for ns5.name-services.com.au server. Old IP address: 182.255.83.2 New IP address: 210.247.231.244 Customers who have their nameservers set to ns1, ns2, ns3,ns4 and ns5.name-services.com.au do not need to make any changes. Customers who have whitelablled the above nameservers with their own custom records will need to update the A record (and glue record at their registrar) to 210.247.231.244 for the “ns5.name-services.com.au” entry only. 2. Customers with domains delegated to cns3.uber.com.au, cns3.nameservers.com.au or cns3.webhosting.openconnect.com.au are advised that the IP address has changed. Old IP Address: 182.255.83.4 New IP address: 210.247.231.243 Customers who have their nameservers set to cns1/2/3.uber.com.au, cns1, cns2 and cn3.nameservers.com.au or cns1, cns2 and cns3.webhosting.openconnect.com.au do not need to make any changes. Customers who have whitelablled the above nameservers with their own custom records will need to update the A record (and glue record at their registrar) to 210.247.231.243 for the “cns3” entry. 3. Customers with domains delegated to ns1, ns2-001.name-server.com.au are advised that the IP address has changed for ns2-001.name-server.com.au Old IP address: 67.23.33.130 New IP address: 210.247.231.241 Customers who have their nameservers set to ns1, ns2-001.name-server.com.au do not need to make any changes. Customers who have whitelabelled the above nameservers with their own custom records will need to update the A record (and glue record at their registrar) to 210.247.231.241 for the “ns2-001” entry.
